The history of the Brioni brand began in the year the Second World War ended, when a small atelier called Sartoria Brioni, specializing in tailoring luxury men's suits, was opened in the Italian capital on the famous Via Barberini street in Rome. The name of the company comes from the Italian name of the Brijuni archipelago near the coast of Istria, which was one of the favorite places of rest and time for the aristocracy of Europe. This is a caste and has become the target audience for the Brioni collections.

Interest grew along with the number of collections, there was no end of buyers. The brand has managed to combine the original Roman tailoring culture with European and American fashion trends. The company has challenged the recognized standard of taste - British suits, offering a brighter palette of colors, lighter texture and less rigid cut. And to this day, the brand maintains its position on the pedestal of high fashion.

This is confirmed by the numerous novelties presented at the world shows. It is unlikely that there are big politicians, businessmen and show business stars who, at least once in their life, have not put on a suit from the collection of this expensive Italian company.

Peculiarities

Brioni products are made only in Italy. Currently, the assortment is very diverse and wide. The Brioni fashion arsenal has a full range of menswear, from classic suits to knitted polos. But the main Italian men's line was and remains the brand impeccably tailored Brioni men's suits, restrained and full of dignity and elegance of the classics. The Northern Italian company sews models that are conceptually similar to the English ones: a clear shoulder line, a slight fit, straight trousers, very personable and designed primarily for business people.

During the first decade of its existence, the fashion house managed to bring a new style solution "haute couture" to the world of fashion, laying the foundations of the "continental style" - elegant, but at the same time comfortable clothes, created for active everyday life. It is a timeless style that is as eternal as the “Eternal City of Rome” and will never go out of style. And the main clientele of this brand is the most famous people of the planet.

Exclusive Brioni models are sewn from rare fabrics containing the finest fine merino wool and natural silk for lining. The excellent properties of these fabrics allow you to feel comfortable wearing both in cold weather and on warm days. It is clear that from the very beginning of its history, Brioni suits were a luxury available only to the privileged class - the wealthy European aristocracy, American tycoons and movie stars.

Handcrafting has become an integral part of the Brioni style... Impeccable cut, perfectionism and quality are the hallmarks of the brand. In order to meet the demand for quality suits, high-quality tailors of the company sewed by hand all the most basic parts of the suits. And only then were the stitches added with a machine.

Top-class masters use different methods, stylistic preferences, but the result remains the same - a true gentleman's suit.

Today the company employs about 900 tailors who create up to 200 models of various styles annually. The company produces bespoke suits every quarter for 25,000 of its luxury-accustomed clients. Tailors use 5000 types of fabric.

The Brioni style has already become a classic in the fashion world. For over 70 years, the brand has been triumphantly presented on more than 400 catwalks in 50 countries around the world.And thanks to the emphasis on style and quality, we can confidently say that this will continue to be so.

Model overview

The brand's collections are dedicated to the Italian style of dressing at the same time flawlessly and at ease. This skill in Italy is called the untranslatable term "sprezzatura". “Become the chosen one” is the slogan that reveals the philosophy of this Italian brand. The company's fashion designers offer classic suits with straight trousers slightly wide at the hips and loose-fitting light jackets as a base.

These designer suits go well with informal shirts in pleasant cream shades. Brioni commented on it this way: "Modern men's runway fashion is becoming more feminine, but our clients still gravitate towards the classics, and it needs to be shown correctly."

The Brioni label is Italian sophistication combined with masculine severity. Haute couture at the service of real men. Comfortable business models, made in muted colors, in cold monotones of white, gray, steel, lilac and dark blue, inherent in an office bow, for business meetings. Despite the restrained simplicity in the lines and laconic cut, a man will always look super stylish in them.

The conservative model of the Brioni suit from the Parioli line is made of fine woolen fabric, soft and light. Despite the softness of the fabric, it practically does not wrinkle. Thanks to the inner lining, the suit does not wrinkle. Suitable for thin men and adds solidity. In contrast to the previous model - evening suits for special occasions made of dense silk moire, the pattern of which changes like a hologram, depending on the lighting.

Unlike the classics, in experimental models, the design director of the company, Norbert Stumpfl, relies not only on the cut, but also on the details that are immediately invisible:

  • modern textured fabric, behind which the future;
  • elastic band atypical for narrowed trousers;
  • another inventive find of the flight of design thought - leather trim and velvet inserts, which emphasize the unique and recognizable style of the brand.

The new collection of the luxury label, which is associated with the style of Italian premium fashion, is clearly aimed at a younger audience.

Criterias of choice

It is no coincidence that an expensive men's suit of a famous brand is considered an attribute of a self-confident man. To acquire such a suit and wear it with pleasure, you must have not only sufficient funds, but also the prevailing tastes, manners, habits, that is, what determines good taste. For their unique style, the suits of the Brioni brand are highly valued, they are preferred to be worn by world stars of cinema, sports and music, fashion bloggers, connoisseurs of high fashion and street looks. A recognizable fashion trend will immediately tell everything about its owner: his taste, position in society and even his attitude to life.

Those men who want to purchase a branded item that is distinguished by exclusive performance should know several important selection criteria. Knowing your exact size is not enough. It should be borne in mind that Italian clothing sizes differ from Russian ones by a decrease in the indicator by 2 units. You should choose a suit with a fit well suited to the type of male figure - triangular, rectangular or rounded. Shoulder width, waistline, floor length should hide imperfections and emphasize the dignity of the figure.

For a triangular figure, a suit with a fitted jacket with two slots in the back would be suitable. The jacket will visually hide the buttocks without hugging them. Preference should be given to jackets with two buttons. Men with a rectangular body type usually emphasize the line of the shoulders. For a rectangular figure, the best option would be a semi-fitted or straight-cut jacket with shallow lapels and three buttons. There should be one back incision.It is a jacket of this shape that will expand the line of the shoulders. Trousers should be free of a pinch at the waist.

For a rounded figure, a single-breasted jacket with deep lapels and soft shoulder pads is ideal. Trousers must be pointed and free of pintucks.

Tacit rules of good manners from style experts will help you look perfect:

  • the jacket should not be excessively long, so as not to visually shorten the legs;
  • the length of the trousers should be sufficient so that the ankles are not visible when sitting;
  • the optimal length of trousers is considered when the rear edge reaches the middle of the heel, and the front edge lies freely on the shoes;
  • the bottom button of the jacket is not fastened;
  • unbuttoning your jacket is allowed only while driving or sitting down at a table;
  • the jacket is removed only in an informal setting.
