If you are going on a trip, it is important to have as little carry-on luggage with you as possible, as well as clothes that you do not have to fiddle with too much. Not everywhere you can find a suitable place to store your belongings, a washing machine or an iron. Therefore, on vacation or on a business trip from clothes, they most often take several T-shirts, which are much more practical than shirts: it is not difficult to wash them by hand, and ironing is easy, and it is almost always appropriate to put them on. In addition, if the T-shirts are folded correctly, then they will not take up much space either in the closet or in the suitcase. At the same time, they will not even remember. Consider some practical ways to fold this garment, especially loved by men of all ages and positions.

How to roll correctly?

To prevent the t-shirt from wrinkling, you can roll it into a roller using the following folding method:

  • the ironed thing should be laid out on a flat hard surface, avoiding the formation of folds;
  • tuck the bottom of the T-shirt to a width equal to about 1/6 of its length (make a fold on the front side);
  • using your own eye, conditionally divide the width of the T-shirt into 3 equal parts (left, middle and right);
  • first, carefully wrap the left side onto the middle one (the long sleeve must be folded over in the shape of an accordion so that it fits completely on this folded part);
  • do the same with the right side of the shirt;
  • roll the thing folded in this way into a tight roller starting from the neck;
  • having reached the previously made fold in the lower part of the product, you need to fix the roller with this cuff.

Rolled 3-4 T-shirts can be easily folded into a small suitcase, bag or closet drawer in one row and usually do not need to be ironed again. It remains only to roll out the roller, unfold the T-shirt and put it on when the need arises.

Features of the Japanese scheme

You can fold the T-shirts in the Japanese way even faster. It is worth noting that the same method is used if you need to fold T-shirts, T-shirts, tunics. In this case, you should adhere to the following algorithm.

  • Lay the T-shirt on a table or other flat and firm place with the front side up. You need to stand to fold things from the side: on the left hand - the neckline, on the right - the bottom of the T-shirt.
  • For your part, visually mark a straight line and three points on it. The line runs from the middle of the shoulder (point # 1) parallel to the side to the middle of the garment (point # 2), then to the bottom floor (point # 3).
  • With three fingers (thumb, forefinger and middle) of the left hand, you need to firmly pinch the fabric at the conditional point No. 1 in the middle of the right shoulder, and with the same fingers of the right hand, at the point No. 2 in the middle of the conditional line.
  • Stand so that your arms are parallel to each other - this is important for the correct folding process.
  • While holding the fabric, bring your left hand to point # 3 on the bottom of the shirt, under the right hand that remains in place, holding the fabric in the middle of an imaginary straight line. In this case, the arms are crossed.
  • Align points # 1 and 3 by pinching them with one pinch of your left hand.
  • Briskly expand your arms to a parallel position while rotating the fabric clockwise. But just do not pull the shirt off the table surface.
  • Now you can lift and shake the folded T-shirt, thereby straightening it completely.
  • Fold the product in half and fold the opposite edge.

And although there are more points in the Japanese method than in the method of folding with a roller, in fact everything is done after a short workout for three counts: on "one" - they laid out the T-shirt, on "two" - pinched and crossed their arms, on "three" - unfolded the folded product and shook it. Just 3-4 seconds.

True, the roller is a way to save space, and the Japanese scheme is time. However, one more point can be added to the last method: fold the product a couple more times. But in this case, it will most likely already be not so flawless in appearance, that is, there is a risk that the T-shirt will be remembered.

When choosing a way to fold T-shirts, you should be guided by the tasks that are in front of you first of all: either you want to save space in your luggage or closet, or you are going to places where there are no special conditions for comfort, and also, perhaps, you do not have time for long fees. You should not discard the option when there are problems in all of the above at once. The most versatile way for home storage with a lack of space in closets, and for travel, is to roll T-shirts into a roller. This includes the progressive method, which is called the Japanese KonMari method, which is characterized by significant space savings and efficiency in putting things in order at home. It is based on folding various items of clothing into a kind of compact roll or pile that can maintain its shape and even stand on its own in a convenient lateral position, which is easy to place on shelves, drawers and boxes.

If there is enough room at home, then, of course, saving time when folding numerous clothes is at the forefront. Here it will be better to use high-speed methods, including the described Japanese express method, reminiscent of the movements of a samurai sword. It is also valuable because it is suitable for folding not only T-shirts, but also other items of light clothing: tops, T-shirts and even shirts. This is the genius of the fashion.

It should also be borne in mind that it doesn't matter what material the T-shirt is made of. Even if it is made of a material that does not wrinkle, it still needs to be folded correctly - and space is saved and easier to find. Not to mention the order in the suitcase or on the shelves in the closet. Try several ways to fold clothes, learn this simple matter - and order in your wardrobe will be guaranteed forever.
